Hi Guys,
I am thinking of buying a penabled laptop.
Can someone give me an idea how this differ to cintiq in terms of feel, pen pressure etc. What model of laptop is best recommended?
I have a wacom tablet and still need a lot of practice on my drawings and I like the idea of having to sketch anywhere when you have the urge.
A laptop and a wacom tablet in my bag is a bit too much. :ninja++:

if you really want a tablet notebook, I would totally recommend the gateway C-series. 512 levels (it's WACOM), 14" screen, 1200 or 1500 bucks for great specs. Have had 3 friends that use it and I've gotten to sample it as well, it's wonderful. The disadvantage to the cintiq is that it is not truly "mobile", not even the small one. It still needs it's own power cord and such.

If you do a search here, you can find some longer threads on this topic. There's also a great site, http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/ which is dedicated to tablet PCs. Search around on that site for lots of good tips about upgrades, where to buy, driver and support issues, etc.

I have a Gateway C-140. Pros: price, graphics performance. Cons: weight, thickness of glass, requires frequent calibration. The weight turns out to be pretty annoying if you want to travel with it at all. If you can afford it, you should go for the Fujitsu (4220/4400/5010). Fujitsu seems to get the best overall customer satisfaction. Other contenders are Lenovo (x60/x61), Toshiba (M750/M700), and HP (tx2500/2730P).

Thanks guys for the reply.
The link from mickeymao's reply is very helpful.
I got also this link from the same site; Wacom partners and integrated products (http://www.wacom-components.com/english/partner/index.html) which gives me more options.

I may opt for a cheaper tpc since I still got my wacom and an old reliable desktop pc. But I may dig more info from the net and maybe post here my top choices. Or maybe you guys can post your top choices as well.
