Breathing for 22 years, yet drawing for only 10, I thought it high time I actually learn the basics.
Hugely inspired by all the great art and the friendly atmosphere, I'd like to become part of the community :) I will attempt to tackle Loomis, Bridgmen et all and shall be updating this sketchbook as frequently as I comfortably can.

Let's get this party on the road.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone :)

Recently made a Sinterklaas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas) present for a friend of mine with heavy use of the Furiae (www.furiae) tutorials on hair, eyes and skintones. Heavily reffed and slighty painted over (position of the facial features).
Last one is a random doodle.

It's been a while!
First two are random sketches to keep busy. Third is an illustration I did on a whim, inspired by the cute collage-like art of Steph Laberis :3
The two after that are, yet another, reinterpretation of my old dnd ranger.
And lastly, the scene in which I previously placed a bearlike creature and a rabbit. I got so frustrated about getting them to look right and the background to actually look like a lush forest, that I flipped some layers and put in new figures. Grr forests :<

really nice studies, and I like especially all the pics with rabbits and/or something green in the bg. I want you to focus more on getting the values right when painting skin tones... darker shadows and such would be nice. your best skin tone values are in the fragile.jpg so far imo, but the sinterklaas could use some darker shadows. the shirt should obey the same light source as the skin, too. I like the detail, though! and aaw those wabbits ^__^<3<33<

Keep it up, you're doing great! //Lotta

Did my colour studies prior to watching the Colour & Light stream. Very excited to see my results afterwards.

A stab at this week's chow, though I won't have the time to finish it. Shouldn't figure out cool topics a day before the deadline fklgasd
