Listening to it right now. It's not quite as terrible as I expected, but it's really close.
Note to Guns and Roses: There's a point where you can actually overproduce something. You are pretty much crossing that line.
Also, you'll only be relevant if you get Slash back. That guy made GNR okay.
Buckethead's alright, but he is terrible compared to Slash.

Are you kidding??? Buckethead's WAY more accomplished as Slash. Slash is more famous, true, but BH is much more talented.
Woops... forgot the opinion tags.

I'll have to listen to some of his stuff to get a better judgement.

I recommend listening to it for yourself. You might like it, though I certainly don't.

Buckethead more talented than Slash and Izzy, is that why instead of 2 guitarists they need 5 for Chinese Democracy?
Frankly I listened to 10 seconds of the first song, I was hopeful and then I was sorely disappointed, sounds hardly like G'n'R and me no like.

I'm pretty sure I like Saint Anger more than this album. The beginning was cool, I liked that first riff and the spacey intro. That's like 1 min of like and 59 minutes of hate...

Guns n roses may sue Dr Pepper (http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/11/26/guns-n-roses-demand-apology-from-dr-pepper-over-soda-fiasco/)

it's a decent album. imho...not too coherent and fittingly bland, but has some good parts. re buckethead, i think he might be a bit too avant garde for the gnr vibe...seeing him on stage with axl is like watching a gundam mend a fence.

Guns N’ Roses Demand Apology From Dr Pepper Over Soda “Fiasco”
Guns n’ Roses are threatening Dr Pepper with legal action over what the band calls “a complete fiasco” of a publicity stunt. Dr Pepper promised every person in America a free can of soda if Guns n’ Roses released Chinese Democracy this year; on November 23rd, the day Democracy was released, fans were told they could get a coupon for a free can at its Website. According to Axl Rose’s lawyer, Alan S. Gutman, things went terribly wrong: Yesterday he sent a letter to Dr Pepper CEO Larry Young saying that the soda company’s Website crashed and that “the redemption scheme your company clumsily implemented for this offer was an unmitigated disaster which defrauded consumers and, in the eyes of vocal fans, ‘ruined’ the day of Chinese Democracy’s release”.
Christ. In other news, real problems are happening elsewhere.
