What to do?

This started out as an acrylic painting (my wife as the model)
and just fooling around with the background in PS. The inspiration was from a John Varley short story-an artificial arm as an art form. But, I never knew what to do with it.
Any ideas?

colour scheme needs dynamic, and the background is too jarry. some of the images are more pixelated than others ie the bird.

idea: remove background, keep wife.. find authentic background and paint in that!
