Does anybody have any experience/ opinion on Parsons New School of Design Illustration department? I'm gonna try and visit it myself, but I'm still interested in others' feelings.
Thanks! :]

I visited Parsons as well as SVA, MICA and RISD last summer on a college hunt. I'm also interested in illustration, and Parsons seemed to be the least favorable of all four.
Parsons seemed more of a renowned fashion school with other departments tagged on to catch some stragglers along the way.
If your interested in illustration I suggest you check out some other schools, such as SVA, MICA, RISD, and Art Center (in California). I'm biased, but from my visits and research these four schools have MUCH stronger illustration departments.
Hope this helps!

Maybe because I know Steven Guarnaccia, I have faith that he can lead that Illustration program at Parsons pretty well. He's a working illustrator with many interests and resources.
I'd still take a look at their program seriously and see how it fits your idea of a top school. They've got some pretty nice looking work from their students and faculty on their website it seems.
