This is a color comp for a personal portfolio character I am developing... I am hoping to do a few comic style pages with her and maybe a 3d model...I'm not really that great with coloring, but I am learning a lot and improving, ever slowly.

medium:sketched on 8.5x11 typing paper, scanned, colored in photoshop with a wacom.

comments apreciated. thanks for looking.

soften those form shadow edges like you did with the knee and it should turn out fine

I agree with Main Loop. You should soften those shadows a bit. Otherwise itīs great.

The eye's don't look quite right, I think that her left is looking mor to the right (her right) than here right eye.
Also you might want to darken some of the out lines, especialy hte hair

But a good doodle man  keep it up

thanks for all the replys..I appreciate the help.

the above version is a little older, but I blended the highlight effects a little just to see what it would do..I like it.

I'm still working out the concept, and trying to come up with a story line for her. So far the basic premise is that she is a futuristic Mission Impossible type agent....mixed with a Ninja ...lol
corny I know, but If I do pages with her it will keep me interested allowing me to draw a multitude of settings and aliens, technology etc...

below is an an updated design sketch still WIP, I changed the design somewhat in this next sketch and may not color this one..

I don't know, something wrong with her right chin.

But if you need any ideas for a story plot just let me know, I'm an expert at coming up with plots on the spot:D

the colour one is good! i agree about the shadows tho.....the drawing is pretty good too, proportions are nice but the face seems to throw the rest of the image off a bit...the chin or the nose or the nose and chin combo i think......but other wise very nice...i like the pose and detail in the outfit.

about the color-pic:
hmmmm, i think you should move the light source - right now it is head on which gives a kinda of boring setup imho. kinda gives the impression of one of those amature photos from the vacation with your parents.. you know.. with the flash head on.. just plain boring..

the skirt is amazing

about the sketch:
ooooh i like it very much! :) if the sketch for the color pic looked like this you're simply not coloring right! i can tell you.. when looking at that sketch i see great coloring potential.. very expressive lines! nice!
