Hey there. I am new to wood art any type of sculpture art but I would like to post my first wooden piece.

I can't remember how many wooden swords I had as a kid. All of them were rough representations of the various weapons that kept showing up in Masters of the Universe. Nowadays - certainly with the help of the cosplay community and various renactment/larp groups - kids today have no problem finding armaments for their various imagination-based adventures.

This looks like a solid first attempt of this sort. The colors add to the overall look and feel and the addition of the engraving of the biblical passage seems fitting (I had to track it down and I see why it was chosen).

If I could offer one suggestion for future consideration, the pommel seems a bit small in comparison to the hilt adornments. It's purely personal preference, but the pommel is such a great place to add something that really stands out or perhaps ties to the importance of the sword. In this case, something angelic, St. Michael, etc.

Overall, a fun piece. Thanks for sharing.
