What's this blade there anyway? Does he hold a sword?
Smoke and glowing is too stereotype i think...how aobut some very weak electro-rays covering his horns, coming up from his neck...? :electric:
How is your TD-Entry going? :trouble:

yep, no glowing eyes. That always sound cool but tend to look silly :). The initial scetch looks like that guy that did metallicas early t-shirts (excuse me for not knowing the name). Nice rendering, and it's always fun to look at progress shots.

well, I guess he's not holding a surfboar.....but u should draw out is arm (or shoulder) more clearly 'cause the area under the broken bones is pretty confusing right now :)

I dunno, I rather like some of the more saturated tones on the other image. Maybe bring some of those back in some areas, around the horns and the broken bones in the arm/shoulder? Overall, it's a pretty cool pic, though I think you should draw in the other arm or something to show that he's holding the blade. Right now, it kinda looks like it's propped up there next to him and he's contemplating it, "How'd that get there?". XD

The background looks much better, but now the figure is to dark, specifically the skull... also i think the color of the blade is to disrtracting, it makes my eyes jump to the blade, and i assuming you want the focus to be the character...
The other problem is that i get the impression that the blade is just proped up against him, this may have been the effect you were going for, but i just wanted to point that there is no indication of him holding it, or being able to weild it. Personally, i think it would make more sense if it was angled back resting on his shoulder with a visible hand on a hilt.

jeez, I have notice you getting pulled left and right on this piece.
:peace:
you have really been working hard making all these changes, and they just keep coming.
my turn...
the only suggestion I have is in what Keaton Marks said about the sword, and that would be to put a hand on the blade indicating who is in control of it.
I really like this, and I dig the progression of this.
