Awesome dude:D.
The cross hatching is neat and tidy, yet it forms the chaos perfectly.
Are they ink drawings? Don't see clean pencil drawings so often :P.

if im doing something with heavy cross hatching then a plain bic works for me, i do draw more in pen than pencil, i think the finality of each line helps me, instead of always knowing i can erase a pencil.

Ohhh the delicious hatching. I love it. I feel the same way about ballpoint, with pencil, there's just too much second guessing to ever wind up happy with a drawing. This is the beginning of a very promising sketchbook :) Keep posting!

Wicked style in your work! Great imagination and of course, nice cross hatching. You really know how to create the illusion of shadow using just line. You should see what you can do with making blocks of shadow rather than just lines. Still, great work. Even if you are exaggerating anatomy, remember to keep it tightened up, sometimes your proportions in the torso area are just a tad funky. But it still rocks!

great studies as of late scott, nice hatching and everything, i just wish u were more confident with placing the features on the face. i may be wrong about this but hatching is usually the final step, some dark detail for the bottom of the nose and under the brow could really add depth to these studies
scottbratek
July 28th, 2009, 09:30 AM
thanks uh jesus?......some of these sketches are only 15-20 minute poses....youll see which are longer ones because i do start defining the face more... its a process
