Hi everyone, we'd like to see your best stuff as far as play set designs and ideations. We're looking for talented folks who can really explore an idea of a play set and explain it clearly in an illustration.

Illustrators must be able to follow directions from the art-director, myself and be flexible to allow for changes and modifications to the idea. Most of all, the art should reflect your energy into each piece...meaning: it should be really fun for you to come up with these play sets and designs. :)

Each job is on a project by project basis and can range between $500-$1000 or more, depending on the scope of the project. We hope to begin a steady amount of work in the next 10 days (as of 11/10/08.). All independent contractors will be required to sign an NDA and a WFH agreement.

Submissions can be in color and black and white (jpegs are fine, as are links which are preferred). The key is that each piece should be clear and the designs need to show they could actually function. If you have prior experience, please mention that as well, but it's not a requirement.

Please submit your play set designs and ideations to:
submissions@conceptopolis.com
SUBJECT LINE: Play set submission
(please, no other solicitations at this time)
We will contact the candidates who are the best match...good luck!!

Can you give more info on the type of playsets you are looking for? I've seen playsets for everything from action figures, to dolls and race cars, not to mention less functional ones that are essentially just detailed displays for figures. Also, what age range are you developing for? A playset for a 5 year old would look different than one for a 10 year old.

I guess a simple direction like toddler, young girl/young boy, or tween boy/girl, would be good to get started with.

To answer your question - all the above actually. :)

I specifically didn't mention which play set type, age range, or gender - as my hope would be to get submissions that covered the styles in which each artist is most comfortable working with. We just want to see the best stuff, as we think we'll have opportunities that will run the entire gamut.

Thanks!

Doing a basic look around the net, below are some styles that we can say we'd "expect". Take these with a grain of salt, but this is basically what level of details would be needed.

We can continue to take submissions, as our needs may change from time to time. For these upcoming projects though, I would like to get submissions by November 18th or 19th.

Thanks!
