Samurai Cowboy and Heavy Armor Knight concepts C&C plz

Parts of the second were shown in an other post, but there's more to show off now. Sorry about the large files, hope I don't choke your modems. On the first concept I still need to work on the cowboy hat and figure out whether to give him a demon mask or not. On the second I''m still trying to find an armor design that I like, debating over whether to keep the high collar or lose it altogether, and I need to finalize the revolutionary style hat. Please critique away, I need it.

I can't belive no one has replied on this yet. These sketches look great! I'm totally hooked on the first one too. I'd say no to the demon mask but maybe play with it first to see what it looks like. I think he looks freakin' bad just the way he is. I really like his armor/outfit a lot too. The pants are my favorite part though. As for the high collar on the second and third images... not to sure. I kind of like it but at times it would be restrictive. Maybe she could have the option of removing it at times? And as far as her armor, I like the direction you're moving with the shoulders in the third image. It seems a little bit more natural. The rounded shoulders have been done a lot. It's cool to see something different. Awesome stuff! I can't wait to see more from you!

both concepts look nice tho, and im a big fan of the overextended collar i thin kthey can look great when the cha looks over their shoulder and you can only see theyr eyes. Just make sure its functional.

I think these are stellar too - (for the first character) I would maybe shy away from using a FFVIII-style gunblade, the character is awesome enough already! There's a pretty interesting comment about western/eastern influence, and I think equipping him with a traditional, western-made revolver (Colt SA Army, S+W Magnum, etc) AND an eastern-made katana would highlight those differences very nicely. The second character is wicked cool as well, she could easily come from any "re-envision the past" type narrative, or even something like Escaflowne. Your sketches and design are imo top-notch - i want more!
