I think those are rumors that were blown way out of proportion when he was making his very first cartoons with his partner, whose name I forget. Basically, his cartoons were much cruder than the extremely watered down and harmless versions of mickey mouse. They had some silly sex-related gags but nothing you wouldn't see in an episode of the Simpsons... Damn. It bothers me that I can't think of that guy's name. Those old cartoons were really quite funny.
You're right though, Disney is really quite evil. They're essentially a corporation that exists to pump out entertainment that's been sliced together from the hard work and tallent of underpayed and under appreciated artists. Why do you think Shrek was made? The creators of that film were former disney animators who left on...umm...bad terms. You also have to wonder why all of there movies have the same old Barbie and Ken type characters in leading roles.

Its much more than old cartoons. ONe of my friends in high school did a report on him. Turns out he had all these strange sexual fetishes including group sex/orgies, etc...
He was definately a strange man, with very different tastes.

In my History of Animation class back in college, our teacher told us how Walt Disney had a butt fetish. He would screen some of his early works and counted how many butt references there were.
I could kind of see where my teacher was coming from but (no pun intended) I think he might have been seeing something that really wasn’t there. Haven’t heard that rumor since…

ewww thats weird...that must be a mistake...i dont think the disney artists would have a drawing of a 4 year old after a bath and push it off as pinup art--maybe someone made that poster from a drawing that wasnt meant to be in that context
anyhoo
yea there are alot of weird little secret things in some of teh later disney films. in allladin when aladdin and Jasmine are on her roof deck, before they fly off into the night, if you turn up the volume really loud she whispers "take off my clothes"
in the liion king when simba falls/lays down onto some flowers on teh edge of teh cliff, and teh flowers blow into teh wind, the subtelly spell out "sex"
and in teh little mermaid near teh end when the sea witch is gonna marry prrince humperdink on teh boat, the priest gets a boner in plain view. really quite funny if youve never seen it
ive always wondered why they threw those things in there,,, i mean the mermaid one was funny , but the others were kinda stupid i think
and as far as disney being evil--well they jsut shut down there entire 2-d studio and have fired a shit load of artists, so...guess they kinda fucked themselves in a way...should have done better and more original stories instead of always banking on generic commercial crap....

Claim: In the film Aladdin, the hero whispers, "Good teenagers, take off your clothes."
Status: False.
Origins: _This quip occurs during a scene in which Aladdin, in the guise of Prince Ali, flies up to Jasmine's balcony on his magic carpet to convince her that he is not just another self-absorbed, empty-headed prince. When Aladdin steps onto the balcony, Jasmine's tiger Rajah threatens him and backs him up against the railing. As Rajah growls, Aladdin tries to shoo him away with his turban and then supposedly whispers, "Good teenagers, take off your clothes."
What is actually going on with the soundtrack at this point in the film is difficult to determine. Disney claims that the script calls for Aladdin to say, "C'mon . . . good kitty. Take off and go," while the closed captioning has him uttering, "Good kitty. Take off." However, neither one of these phrases seems to match what is heard on the soundtrack. A close listening to the audio track reveals Aladdin speaking the words "C'mon . . . good kitty," and just as Aladdin says the word "kitty," a second voice begins to whisper, "Pssst . . . take off your clo . . ." Who this second voice is, and exactly what he says, is a mystery. There is no other character in the scene who could conceivably be speaking: the tiger doesn't talk, the voice is male (eliminating Jasmine), and both the genie and the rug are below the balcony and off-screen. Perhaps the overlapping voices are merely the product of bad editing, and some stray bit of chatter (or a piece of dialog that was supposed to have been clipped) was accidentally grafted onto the soundtrack. Whatever is being said, to the casual listener the resulting phrase can certainly sound like the "Good teenagers, take off your clothes," although the phrase is clearly the combination of two different voices speaking in two different tones. Once people have been told what they're "supposed" to be hearing, however, they find it difficult to maintain objectivity and therefore swear that Aladdin couldn't possibly be saying anything else.
The "take off your clothes" rumor started soon after Aladdin was released on home video in 1993. A garbled and whispered portion of dialogue that could barely be heard in the theater was being replayed over and over in millions of homes but was difficult to distinguish. Someone came up with a salacious phrase that sounded somewhat like the original portions of dialogue, and the power of suggestion took over. People began to hear what they were being told they should hear, much like Beatles fans eagerly sharing backwards-masked Paul is dead aural clues.
The Aladdin rumor spread by word of mouth during 1994 and was eventually printed in Movie Guide magazine, an Atlanta-based Christian entertainment review. Due in part to that article, the controversial phrase was brought to the attention of the American Life League, a religious organization which had been boycotting Disney films since the previous April as a protest over the movie Priest. The American Life League gave new prominence to the rumor in September 1995, when it claimed the phrase was yet another piece of evidence that Disney had been sneaking "sexual messages" into their animated films (the The Little Mermaid being the most notorious example) for the past several years.

I can see how the sound engineer might slip that audio track in..its easy to do..
I never saw the woody in the mermaid of wich you speak but..
I saw the S.E.X. in the lion king, and when you watch how the dust and leave like thingys blow off the cliff when simba slumps himself down they dont follow the natural flow that they should and they awkwardly spell out sex....my art teacher in high school thought we were full of sh** so he brought in the video, and after pointing it out to him he had to admit it is odd that a company of animaters that specialize in animation would have something that breakes flow at that very moment and coincedently spells out sex?(I mean look at it..it breakes the natural flow) but animaters are guys like us and they probably get board like the rest of us after 1000 pictures of the same damn scene so they have to do something to snicker about!!....
on a side not there was a cover from the first release of the Little mermaid.(this cover was only released in a paper box just before all diseny stuff went to those white plastic boxes..look close at one of the towers in the back ground...if you think its not representing the male genitals with its vein like design and bulbus top with a little hole in the top then you are REALY trying not to see it.. it was very so obvious that every other video that the store got in after ward had a different cover (with the strange looking tower removed and replaced with one that looked more like a hamberger...
lets not forget the roger rabit(ONLY ON THE LAZER DISC VERSION) not dvd ..were it shows more of jessica then we were prepared for...that little escapade made it on the news and Im not shure but I think a hand full of animaters lost their jobs...
and I havnt herd this any were else just saw it first hand..a little crappy cartoon not sure by who but I think it was called the "princess and the goblin"....my bosses little 6 year old kid pointed out to us that the "goblin licks the fat ladys boobs".. and then she konks khim on the head with a rolling pin...we rewound that section over and over again...its very fast ...but dog gone it thats what it clearly shows in one maybe 2 frames!..
so if anyone else has that movie see if you can find it ...so I dont look too nutty! :)....
I would only look for these reported oddities in the early video versions, because they can have it fixed in the dvd vertions by now...

Noose: I have "The Princess and the Goblin" and I'm not really sure. It does kind of look like the goblin is licking her boobs. The animation's really crappy, so it is hard to tell what the animators were trying to do. If it is true, then they are a bunch of pervs for putting something like that into a childrens' movie.

daniela- its kind of a jerky hard to freeze frame thing especialy on video tape..but Im glad you can see it too..im feel less crazy :)...there is one frame If I remember corectly were if you get it just on that frame that it is very "naughty" looking..I also remember we kept freeze framing until we found that one perfect frame and its quit a laugh that no one made a big deal about it...yes when you spend 5 years working in a 2 customer a day video store you have aLOT of time to watch childrens movies ..one ..frame... at.. a ..time....dont judge me!.. lol

So What?
You watch MTV late night don;t you? So what's the problem? That's bordering on the lowest porn and exploitation and suppression of women right there. Directly fed in the brain of whole generations that have to go to physical therapy becasue of the knee and hip problems caused by the gangster limp.
If you can't take a little sexual connotation you're basically not an adult but an adolescent. Most art has them and trying to get rid of it would flatten the artistic landscape and depth to the level of toothpaste-advertisements.
ok, so that's my opinion.

I second Erik's view. Where's the problem? Young children don't recognize the stuff or don't make anything of it. Those who do know what's the matter anyhow. And maybe have a little fun.
I was working for Euro Disney ten years ago (just when Aladding hit the cinemas in Europe) and I know that staff was immensely nervous to "keep Mickey clean". On the other hand they had no problems creating rumours themselves that the Theme Park in Paris had to close soon (just having been opened a couple of years before) just to make people visit the park asap. And once you know it, you find that they do such things quite often.
So I guess that the "sexual hints" (which are so ridiculously harmless) are in the movies with the management's agreement or even on the management's order - just to make the films being talked about (in the US, Europe seems much more relaxed in things like this...).
Just my 2c

In The Little Mermaid, when they're on the boat about to get married. Then the bird flies down. For a split second you can see the priest has a boner. Lol i think its really his knee but its still funny

Get over it / Old news
You guys complain/want more "mature" themes in modern cartoons but complain about the old subtleties the artists were having fun with.
It's not like Mickey's blowing his Jum-Jum all over Minnie's face.
I can't help but wonder if you guys've ever heard of Hentai. Kinda puts it into perspective of how un-criticle most people are of anything that comes outa Japan. (and I have nothing against Hentai, and I think Koro is a great artist)
Yes Disney has gone down-hill, but it's not the artist's faults ... and generally a company that's been around for almoast a century is gonna have its ups and downs.
oh and...

Okay, there was no "S.E.X." in the Lion King, guys...it was "S.F.X.", put there by the special effects department. Geez.
I admire Roy Disney for walking out and showing some guts. Eisner is a money-sucking meanie who doesn't give a poop about the employees below him. The guys in my other forum posted a Letter of Support for Roy and it looks like a lot of people are signing it:

The Little Mermaid "boner" incident is false too. If you look at the priest from far away (when they show the wedding party on the boat from a distance), you can see that the "boner" is actually his knees. He is kind of drawn in caricature, so he's more angular—his knees jut out. When the camera is zoomed in, you are seeing his KNEE close up, not a boner! ;)
