why do the guys in ff always have to look like girls? the chest is the only thing that distinguishes.
it's good to see a chocobo though.

Good thing i got rid of my ps2. This looks like a killer drawing time waster.

Also whos doing the art for it now? It doesnt look like Amano.

Do the character concepts seem like they're hardly different from FFX? The character art seems kinda cliche and predictable.

Not to mention the main characters being a wannabe sky pirate and a princess.

Of course, this doesn't matter, because I'm a Square consumer .

No offense, but id have to strongly disagree. Look at the chareceters, read the crappy-ass plot, and the fact that they ripped the world name from the country name of the settign of Final Fantasy Tactics, and i think SquareEnix should never have merged. :(

Well, the final fantasy series is still one of the best rpg franchises. I agree alot of the stuff they use has similarities with their other games, but every genere has that. thats just the way it is. Bottom line is, it will still be fun and entertaining, which i think is the most important part. Oh and Tetsuya Normura has been the lead character designer since final fantasy 7. I think he has a really nice style. Its simple and clean, and his colored pencil renderings are nice. Yoshitaka Amano still does some art for square, but its mostly just finished pieces they use for posters and their artbooks in japan. But yeah, i wish square and enix didn't merge. But i don't think the enix part of the company gets much say in the final fantasy series. Likewise, i don't think square gets to toy with the dragon quest series. i dunno.

tetsuya nomura is the artist.. hes pretty much doin everythin now, including kingdom hearts 2
