Hi all,

I'm new here and would like to say hello with this concept design of mine.

It's an Aircraft manned by one Pilot and two Gunners.
I used Photoshop to create it. Hope you like it :)

The body of the aircraft has a tank look to it. The rear part with what looks like a turret? Kind of boxy for a sleek aircraft.

Is this an AWACS type of craft? The one with the big radar dome on it?

hi Howdy,

The Term "Aircraft" may be a little confusing. This Vehicle is more a hybrid between a hovercraft and an aircraft. Whilst the thrust engines are clearly visible, the antigrav system is integrated into the main body. That's why the rear end is rather bulky :)

The turret is indeed based on a tank design - in this case it is an anti-aircraft tank turret mounted on the hovercraft. This makes the craft somewhat slow but hard hitting.

Here's another example i did. This one is smaller and faster. It flies without an antigrav system, but instead has turbines similar to the "Harrier", to be able to hover.

I am not into this technical stuff, but i like the clean style...

Nice to see some different angles...looks like it's a concept for a game...if so, can you tell us something about the project?

I like the first and second one. Id rather fly the first because it has bigger guns. If you do make a game with those it would be awesome.:chug:

hi Fozzybaer,

(oder wie die Eingeborenen um mich herum sagen: Gruess Gott! :)

Sorry for the late reply - it's been a busy week (quit my current Job, need to find another fast etc) but back to your question:

These concepts are part of a game i'm working on along with a friend who is doing the programming. It would be nice to recruit extra programmers and 3D-Artists and such, but this is a, uh, "non-profit" project untill we find a Publisher (If we ever do get that far lol).

Anyway, this project is a good playground to flex one's muscles, and get better at drawing, modelling etc.

Here's another (unfinished!) example of where the game is heading. This is a basic 3D Modell of a Hovercraft Arena that I built in 3ds max. I know this is the "finished" forum - but this image may help place my hovercraft concepts in the right perspective.

The gameplay is fairly straightforward: grab a Hovercraft, duell against others in the arena. The Hovercraft are controlled as in a normal flightsimulation. Your craft are also influenced by gravity, wingloading, stalls etc, oh yeah - the whole thing is playable online :)
