Btw, awesome work. A good way to tell people there are no magic brushes that makes you good.

Cool. Love the process shots. The only thing I might work on is the hair. Its a little unconvincing right now, but the rest looks great.

Nice concept a little cliche with the pose but...it is a concept. Keep it up.

Very impressive character design; The way you render material such as cloth and the armor is particularly strong. Only critique I have would be to define some parts more, especially the face. The face should always be the focal point, but it's 'underendered' compared to the armor.
Other than that, very strong piece.

great work! and thanks for posting the process.
one thing that was bothering me that I did not see mentioned yet is his left hand (on our right). I want to see those finger just a little bit better, I think they would be back lit with the magic in his hands like that. right now they are too blurry and don't read well.
