Out of these? I need to submit them with a portfolio and I can never deside. I am asking for various opinions and explainations on why.

These pieces have the best use of correct perspective, proportions and anatomy; light and dark values; and creativity/talent. :)

And yeah, I'd include your self portrait. As far as all of the above traits are concerned, it's the best piece. I really like the colors in the stairway, too. Might want to touch up on the hand, though

I'd try to put in the images as attachments in your post so we can view them more easily.

BTW...try to watch your perspective and proportions. There were a few pieces in which the head was too small, etc. But that's for the critique section, heh.

Out of curiosity, where are you applying?

Yes on the SP.

7 and the sp are good. One crit that I got on my portfolio review was to spend more time on my life drawings and make sure the anatomy is perfect, maybe that would work for you too.

Where are you applying? Will you be taking foundation courses? Have you spoken with people currently at the school to ask what they submitted when they applied? When is the application due?

Definately 1 and (I especially like) 4.
Then I'd add 3, 9 and the SP.

Yeah. I really need to finish my drawings. I won't make excuses for my lazyness :P

Well I am applying to 7 schools:

Pratt
MICA
RISD
CCAD
CIA
Cooper Union
smfa Boston

But these drawings in particular are for a scholarship contest. I am planning on going to all the schools to show my portfolio in person and then asking which pieces they liked best to submit for each individual school's scholarship competitions (as slides).

It just worked out perfect that my dad happens to have to fly to all those places for business. I am tagging along and having my portfolio reviewed and then flying back home on my own. Or that's the plan anyway.

The scholarship application needs to be done by the 3rd.

That sounds pretty exciting. Check out the cities, get a feel...go on an adventure. Have fun, dude

1,5,7,9. I would also include the drawing of the room, but that isn't a life drawing. Life drawing usually refers to drawing the figure.
