***This message has been updated. People who doesn't want to load everything at once, please read my note below)***

Some of you may remember a few of the background pieces that were used for this site. Anyway, it's been months, but the site is finally finished.
If you're into animes or RPG games, or if you're just a nice guy, check out the site. It is a long load, which I know many people dislike, but if you have the time, please review it and critique it anyway. Mouse navigation is very minimal, because it uses keyboard for most stuff. Approach the website as if you're about to play an RPG game such as Final Fantasy. It comes complete with an opening, a gameplay middle, and a 5 minute animated ending for those of you who enjoyed the site to stay long enough to go through each section and gather all the clues. I hope you enjoy.

Turn your speakers on.
People who wants to see what the site is like, without having to wait for all the sections to preload. You now have a choice to load each section on the fly: www.skycastlestudios.com

Holy shit that's awesome! I played it all the way through. Great job, you obviously put a lot of thought and work into it. If this is also your resume/portfolio, is there a way to navigate the site without playing the game? I'd think an employer would be impressed, but not necessarily have twenty minutes to spend playing just to find your e-mail address. Also, I had a lot of trouble navigating my character around the Contact page. Most impressive though.

I dunno, it has a lot of the typical problems inherent when American artists attempt to imitate Japanese cartooning styles. Lines on the inside of the figure too thick, characters awkwardly "balanced", characters lacking structure, poor sense of contrast, etc. etc. etc.

Red_Rook, Biscuit Maker, vanilla:
Thanks guys :) Check it out when you have more time and enjoy the animations and story :)

Pencilpunx:
There is a button for "Quick Links" in the menu bar, which takes you from one section to another, and also shows everything that you can see from talking to the people. You can't get the clues by doing this though, so the only way to view the final animation is to play the game. If I were using this to get myself a job, I would just give a link out for the ending anyway :)

DanSTC:
I realize my drawing ability is sub-par compared to the artists that you see on this forum. What I hope people can enjoy is the overall experience. Also, I am an American, but you make it sound as if one had to be IN Japan to be able to draw manga/anime. I wonder what you'd think if I told you I was Japanese but I live in the US, and I consider myself an American.

Very impressive! The sheer amount of effort that went into this really sells your work ethic :) I do agree with the comment that there should be a simpler way to view all of your work for future employers. But great stuff!

[Edit] OH...one thing...the monks look WAY too much like the monks in Battlechasers.....blue glowing circle they're sitting around...Skycastle, Skyhold.... Just alot of similarities.

I have just updated this website to please all the people who are annoyed at having to download everything at once. Please go to www.skycastlestudios.com and tell me what you think. Now all of you have no excuse to not check this site out :D If there are any bugs, please let me know.

Regarding BattleChasers, I didn't give it much thought. I do know the comic, and it's one of my fav, but I haven't picked it up since the issue first came out. It could've been just something that stuck in my head, but I really didn't think about it. As far as "skycastle" and "skyhold" goes, well, I imagine MAD! and myself got the name from the same anime: Castle in the Sky.

This was down for about a week due to bandwidth limitations, but it's back up now. I'll be creating a mailing list soon to anyone who'd be interested in following a webcomic that I'll be creating.
