Nina a character in a story I've been developing as I publish them. "Half life" is the story. I am serializing it in "Paper Biscuit" a self-published book.
That cat with a horn is Peg.

i like it, actually the interaction between the characters are really cool.. i just dont like seeing the line art around her face, it doesnt match the rest of the picture.

Actually, I like the outline. Even on her torso and on the cat, which are both dark and could do without an outline, I think it emphasizes an intended sketchy style.
How would someone go about getting a copy of this book?

somehow subconsciously this pic makes me really happy, I seriously felt a surge of joy when I saw this pic. I think it's the combo of the warm colors with her expression and that damn cute kitty. Well anywayz, keep it up, show us more.

Thanks guys for viewing and responding. This was an image done as "Thank you" card for all those who came by our table at the San Diego Convention 2002. It was posted on Shane Glines' message board.
Blue--You're right about the lines, I didn't make them more prominent to make it a more obvious style statement and yet it shows enough that it may be an oversight. But I do tend to make rougher images. Lazy, and I do aspire to a more relaxed approach.
Dan STC--You know I just did a search for the phrase, "Half life," and came up with the Sierra Video game. It's the first time I've encountered it. I'm not a PC gamer and only indulge in a few over the years--came close to finishing Metroid but my hand started to hurt. Needed that for work. Crowbars and headcrabs! Funny.
Tegehel--Thanks for taking a gander. I'm going through files to post more here.
Helix--Thank you. And the books are available from me directly and just a few bookstores who've asked for them. It's a small operation and a limited ambition of being available to those who know of the work and wants a copy. Printed in Japan, B/W, 40 pages.
Visit my blog and scroll down to the August 4 post when we offered the book with payment through Paypal. The small book, Paper Biscuit 1.5 is sold out (only printed 500 copies)

Morpheus--Glad to be of help. You are right, this time is the time to be.
Otis--Yep, I've been happy to follow this tack and so far it hasn't exhausted itself yet. I look forward to it myself. I'm afraid that I've become a "drawaholic." This is a phrase the someone described Baron Storey to be. I'm just borrowing it.
Wood--Calm? Why yes! Thank you for mentioning this. It is so refreshing to hear about feelings the work invokes (just glad they were good feelings that arose).
Firebird--Another "calm" response. I didn't get this feedback back when I posted it at another board. This is good insight and quite interesting. This is about cocoa season, too.
Chad--Thanks so much. I dont' know about you but all this talk of calm and coco makes me want to hang out in a small used bookstore and chat about books the rest of the afternoon.

Even though there is nothing particularly funny about the picture, I smiled when I saw it. The mood you projected in the piece is just that good.
Man, great work. :p

jlo--Thank you for the insight. I like it. I dare not ascribe attributes to the work myself for fear reading the wrong thing into it--but the pleasant surprise is that it invokes these impressions that I wouldn't see. Forest for the trees.
Helix 7--I'll watch out for it. I hope you leave me a note there at Paypal so's I'll know it youi from this board, 'kay?
Halis_Aetrous--Thanks for sharing the insight. I do so love that the image is getting its second look. And doing well.
Cheers all.
