So you want us to do your homework for you, eh? No I just kid... This sounds fun, you'll post the story when your done so we can check it out, right?

Part1: Foundations of an interactive story and its fundamental ideals

Q1: What does “experimental interactive story mean to you”?
-Answer: Like you would be playing around with the format of how the story is told, or maybe the interface format?

Q2: Where would you expect to see one?
-Answer:Depending on the content, maybe a children's site, a site like neopets, or newgrounds.

Q3: How would you define interaction?
-Answer:Directing the story by deciding what the characters say/do, by being able to manipulate objects in the story (like opening doors, reading letters, etc)

Q4: Do you feel a interactive story would involve a story narrative?
-Answer:Not necessarily.

Q5: How much interactivity would you expect? (Examples: Multiple choice, investigative story (clue hunting) or open ended)
-Answer:I personally like open-ended ones, though they are hard to pull off.

Q6: How much would you expect to be interactive/narrative story?
-Answer:Like a percentage? maybe 50-80%.

Q7: What would you gain from interaction with the story?
-Answer:Entertainment? Being more involved with a story allows the player to remember it better. I think these things would be really fun if they where educational, too.

Q8: How do you feel about a combination of different media, combined to create a single interactive story?
-Answer:That would be neat, as long as it was well done and didn't make the story confusing.

Part2: Examples and initial idea

Q9: Please give some examples of interactive stories that you may have come across. (Please include any URL’s or other references)
-Answer:Hmm, I don't think I've actually played one before. The closest I can think of was a mystery game played in the first person in addictinggames.com, but I think they took it down. I'll let you know if I find any good ones, though.

Q10: Please put down ideas that you think would bring an interactive story to life and how you feel about interaction from this point of view.
-Answer: Well, since it's a story, there has to be characters, a plot, a conflict, and the ultimate goal should be resolving the conflict. multiple side stories can be fun, as long as there aren't too many and they don't take over the main story.

Q11: What are some downsides of an interactive story to you?
-Answer: Nothing in general, but some bad qualities could be broken scripts, bad art (tolerable if the story itself is good). Bad writing. That I can not stand.

Q12: If you added a URL of a story or reference above, out of those what are some of the features/ideas you liked most
-Answer:

Q13: If you added a URL of a story or reference above, out of those what are some of the features/ideas you disliked most
-Answer:

-----------
Part3: Other

Q14: Any other ideas of just general debate please put here.
-Answer: Good luck!
