*From deep in the middle of nowhere*

Hello, I'm a 19 year old guy from Cape Town, South Africa I'm still relatively new here and am hoping to update weekly with sketches and oil paintings and such. PLEASE, any constructive criticism is welcome!!! :)
I really would like to improve steadily. Thanks to everybody here on the forums for being so darned good and so helpful :)

wowoweewow! haven't been doing much other than school since that last post. Terrible I know. laziness leads to crappyness. anyway. here are some oil paintings and studies that I've done over the last few months. lots of self portraits for practise. The old guy is my grandfather and the pensive guy in the chair is my brother.

ello, just a page from my sketchbook and a painting I did since last. not sure If I'm happy with the painting. its a bit strange. I was trying lots of new stuff technique wise though. anyhoo.

xinranliu, thanks! I know what you mean. i know it sounds like an excuse but the truth is my camera is terrible and has boosted the colours. I should've spent time editing. Now that I notice, my latest painting also looks kinda funkyfied. But well spotted:)

Good to see some updates, like the piece you used for your avatar and the one of your brother very much, theres somthing about the wall behind him that i really like, i have no idea what. . . . looking forward to some more :)
