After visiting CA.org for the past couple of years and finally becoming a participating member in it's community, I've developed a list of my personal favorite artist...

These artist have a permanent bookmark on my browser, and I jump at anything new they post...

This here is a thread where i can post my kudos to the artist that inspire me daily..:chug:

Marko Djurdjevic- This guy consistently rocks my socks with his character concepts. You deserve all the cheers that come your way bro...hopefully i will get the opportunity to learn from you this coming January...

Sammy- A master of ship/mech concept design(at least to me anyway)...I can honestly say Sammy's art made me think about working in the concept art field..

Justin Kaufman aka El Coro- Brought a whole new perspective to bombers for me..a traditionally trained graf artist is a deadly combination...

Jason Manley-He does everything, from character designs to designing entire enivronments..it brings a tear to my eye how good he is...Good luck with your company man..

Jon Foster- An illustrator extrodinaire...when i found out you did the covers(Front and Back) to the Darkside Sourcebook, I almost flipped...2 of my favorite pieces of work...

Andrew Jones aka Android- This guy is truly a machine... my first exposure to his work has been through the sites main page..and now i check the Self-portrait thread everyday to get my Android fix....

Here is just a few of the artists, I will post more of them at a later time...(and I missing a lot believe me)

But in the mean time, if you have a favorite artist, and would like to give props to them, post here..i personally would like to know which artist are some of you following...

I think Prometheus|ANJ inspires me most.
I'd move or copy all his threads to the "Best Of CA" forum.

I'd also add oDD, KChen, Scott Robertson, Lung_bug and fredflickstone to the list.

And the members (especially the founders) of the Middle Class ... very inspiring.
I probably forget many inspiring artists ... :(

endregen (sp??) mindcandyman and all the others pushing themselves to improve. it doesn't get much better than that. when i feel like quitting i see what they have been doing. works everytime.

justin sweet - what can i say, the man is a god to me, his line work on his sketches is beautiful.

lukias, puddinhead (aka kevin llewellyn) and ant4d - the styles are all similar but unique in there own special way.

foster - genius the way he twists things and makes them his own.

nc wyeth - brilliant, besides frazetta i think no one else could tell a story in one simple painting like he could (ok ok maybe pyle but hey)

caravaggio, rembrandt, davinci, sargent - some of my favorite "masters"

plus a few others here and there.

Hawkprey: Come on, is there ANYONE here who does what he does?

Dodowa: This guy amazes me everysingle time he posts. I can't explain it. He's one with his art. He has very detailed renderings and really stylish brushwork but by far, it's the moods he creates with his color schemes which impress me the most. He knows his stuff.

Coro: What can I say? His popularity is well-deserved. I'm just glad that he keeps himself grounded in reality when it's so easy to just doodle robots all day. His art is very honest but very stylish.

Andrew Jones: What we see on the forum barley scratches the surface. If you've ever seen his art for the game Metroid prime you'd be astounded. His shapes, colors and themes are so cool and exotic.

As for non-forum members:
Sylvain Despretz
H. R. Giger
Ashley Wood
Vebjorn Strommen
David Levi
Patrick Tatopolos
Cam Kennedy
Jon Bolton
Killian Plunkett
David Wenzel
Ron Cob
Mobeus

I can't really say I have an all-time favorate or even try to rank them. Art is about expression, vision and ideas. They're all brilliant in their own way, which is the great thing about originality; no standard sets exist for you to be judged by.

William B. Hand. His stuff is amazing... he posts dsgs that look like something I'd take months on and still not get to look THAT awesome.

EDIT: Are we also doing non-forum members too? Wow, a lot for me to list then, but to save time, I'll just post the artist that inspired me the most to do this kind of art in the first place: Farzad Varahramyan. He's the mastermind behind the beautiful Oddworld concept art that seems to define its style; for the first two games, at least. His work is hard to find online though, as it's not all on one site.
