I noticed that there are a few places in Vancouver that has this chair. Although I never really looked it up, but it just so happens to be in the Wikipedia article on Modernism. Now that I know what it's about, I understand why those places use them.

my friend bought an Eames lounge chair at a goodwill store for $10.

I've always wanted a Wassily and an Eames. And not just because they were on Frasier ;P
Unfortunately I don't have an office of my own, which is really the only place you can have those in a house unless you live in an ultra chic loft. So my mom said no to buying them for the house :(
