Awesome! You convey action and motion so well - you use blurs well, even text angles. And the writing's good. :0

I just love it man, its like the most visually complelling (hope I smelled that right),lol. Well, one of the most at the least, that would be a big hyperbole, but I think the way the story is written is genius, how long did it take you finish the strip ?

Bad to the freaking ass!!! This was awesome! Excellently told story. Fluid style and well paced action. I love love love comics like this. There is so much trash out there and it's great to see work like this. Absolutely great. Thank you so much. Is there more? Have you thought about pitching this idea to a studio? Plenty of people out there would eat this stuff up. I love spaghetti westerns like this. Great work again.

Hahaha, that was fantastic!! The idea with the braces (and the speech impediment) made the character very unique.
One thing that really stood out to me for some odd reason, was the scene in the carriage where the bounty hunter was running toward Kid Revolver, and you applied perspective to the speech bubbles. For some reason that just sparked me as brilliant.
The comic became a little too clustered in parts where fast paced action was involved (but saying that, I'm not too great on deciphering highly stylized action sequences), but the whole comic was a joy to look at, humorous, surprisingly in-depth from the word go since you can pretty much tell just what was going on within a couple frames.
Overall a great piece of work. :D Woo!

Inspiring shit! I can visualise this kind of stuff in my head, but I'm nowhere near being able to execute it this well. Hope to see more soon.

love it, not difficult to see what's going on at all.
i really like the set that you put at the end, that cell with the splits is my out and out favourite.

October 22nd, 2008, 02:56 PM
This is awesome! Very fun.
Some of the staging could use some work though. The 2nd page in particular was really hard for me to understand. The wanted sign doesn't really read because you haven't firmly established what the hero looks like and there is no way to know that that is what the hero is looking at. The guy's huge knife looks almost like a tube. And in the last panel the dude who gets cut in half kind of looks like we can see the person sitting in the seat behind the hero. It's not clear that the person with the knife is anywhere near them or that it's the knife that is doing the cutting.
Basically, there needed to be more time spent establishing the scenario before the action began.
Over all I really enjoyed it though. Post more!

bralt: cool thanks:) I took a lot from One Piece on this one.
bradyscott: i have another story in mind for this 'world' but haven't solidified it yet.
kev, richardechols, nathanlong: thanks dudes!
kiolia: i've been trying to find ways to convey motion blur w/out actually using 'blur' in photoshop - glad you like!
serpian: cool!
clanlord: haha that is a buttload of adjectives!
roidvoid: FLCL is one of my favorite animes - definitely an influence
young paddy1: happy to be in that book. wanted to see how much I could do with the gun as possible, since I probably won't be drawing it again for a while.
csteingart: thanks!
adventdawn: glad you liked the gags - they all sort of congealed by accident.
opilione: dang glad to hear it!
glass eye: thanks:)
call0ps: i definitely want to make more hell yeah
daniel andrews: nothin' *beats* a good melee
moonvisionstudio: thanks!
ashrumm: will do!
aaro_n, slated_templar, d@niel, sony: thanks guys! glad you liked.
abigbat: yeah i wanted to go all shonen action on this one, but with blood. There's also a subtext of freaks (headgear, glasses) having to slaughter each other in order to gain entrance into the "normal" person's world. Very junior-high.
Dizon: I ended up seeing "dead leaves" about a year after I drew this comic - I sensed a kindred spirit in those animators! Not always my cup of tea but definitely skilled. Looking forward to "Red Line."
FlyingFins: thanks:D
rist: it's been 2 years and I've made only a few more personal comics in lieu of worky-work. I'll post 'em when they're ready!
jim b: haha - I'm glad you haven't! It means I packaged my thievery shrewdly.
jesart: dang - this comic happened so long ago... I think it took like 4 months? Slow because it was a free-time sorta thing. IDEALLY it'd take a few days to write and a few weeks to draw. I wish I could produce faster!!
bhanu: thanks yo!
corspufo: I wish I had enough content thought up for this to warrant a long series - the world is interesting enough to me - but right now I've only thought about another short. I am pitching another thing to studios, though!
twitchfinger, :::rain::: : thanks!
nubb: it's a pretty amp'd story! i've definitely calmed down since I drew this comic.
smokenmirrors, ryanwh, saa, illustratorwayne, DSillustration: sweet!
Blighted Art: Thanks! Yeah that perspective applied to the speech bubble felt like the right thing to do - it flowed with the directionality of the panel/action and keeping it @ standard perspective made it look stunted.
You're not the only person to be confused by the action! I wanted to do some weird choreography beyond the normal fisticuffs/guns, and I ran into a lot of situations where I would have to choose between design or clarity. I leaned towards design a lot - maybe too much.
Chax: will put out more as I make 'em!
revolver, drazen, aug, psychoboy, kischi: thanks guys!
super skoda: Glad you liked! I do have a habit of being too close in my shots - I guess that's where my head was at and I need to train myself to pull back for more medium and wide-shots. This might come from an aversion to drawing backgrounds - dat shit just takes so much work. Thanks for the advice, skoda.
HecMoney: thanks dude!
