some Sea Turtles

yo whats up people. i did this for a sea turtle poster contest. i think it still needs something though. any suggestions?

The right arm/fin of the turtle on top looks a little weird. It kinda looks like a bat wing, I'd like to see that fin at it's side. I think the perspective is a little off so it makes the front fins look strange. I like the background and choice of colors, also the sea turtle on bottom. Good job

Nice! I'm not sure what you intend as focal point. Maybe that is the problem? Right now I'm thinking the right wing (our right) of the back turtle seem to have most contrast in value, where the front turtle has more color contrast.

Maybe the front turtle needs a big cheesy spot of light on the shell? Front turtle's left fin leads the eye out and maybe he's too closely cropped.

I can see that the one flipper is being seen edge-on in that top turtle, so that actually works for me. Perhaps the motion-blur on the flipper closest to the camera on the bottom turtle is just a tad overdone. I would have preferred a little more blue in an underwater scene, and a little darker with deeper saturation of the blue to suggest depth/distance from camera, though this is obviously very shallow water. Still it looks a bit too green for me. Does the beak on the bottom turtle have the right degree of curvature? Its mouth looks straighter than the mouth of the top turtle, which looks more accurate. Maybe it's just the angle.

Overall, I love it. Excellent work on the scales. Great to see someone tackle reptilian subject matter.
