And now for something a little bit more traditional. :) Most of these were painted with oils either on paper or canvas.

Very very impressive. I kind of like this type of art better than fantasy stuff, and computer graphic art. To be real honest I really only like traditional art and do not have a fond taste for computer graphic art, but I guess its the artist that brings out the best in a picture, not the tools.
Hey, have you been to www.artrenewal.org ?
Check it out, it is a fantastic website and has is the best resource for traditional realistic paintings. My favourtie artist is William Bouguereau. I assume you have heard of him. To me, he is a master of masters.
Your work kind of reminds of Deigo Velasquez. I really like these pieces and your still life work is top notch. Great work and let the traditional spirit live on!

WOA!
Great use and control of your media. Really really great stuff.
And yes William Bouguereau is a true master. Love his works to.

I like the way that you depict surfaces. In the last image you really show through with paper, silk, metal, paper, cloth...

You dont need more praise since you have come this far.....;) Step up!!!

Negativespace- Thanks ! I work with a full palette, anything from white to black, around 12-13 colours hehehe...that thing is heavy :) . As for a tutorial, right now I have too much to do, maybe I'll do something in a couple of month.

Necron99- Thanks you ! The portraits were done from photos, because its pretty hard to find a Aksumite here in Germany :)

Khangle81- Thanks man ! Its cool that you ask, because I'll have my first solo exhibition soon...I'm already sooo exited :)

Jason- thanks mister !

Batteram- Thanks ! Yeah I like fine art more, too. But it seems like it's easier to make money with monster drawings nowadays, the people like Hulk, Superman, dragons and fairies...sad but true
And yeah, I know about artrenewal.com , in fact I visit it every day
I'm not sure with the comparison with Velazquez, I'm very flattered but I think he had a different style, he would have painted the first one (Adam) with 30 brushstrokes or less :)

Oblio, Davi, Link, Daarken, Blackhawk, Fipse and Molin..Thanks you guys !!

kaini-

Beautiful work. I wish I could see them in person to see the true colors. Amazing. The portraits blow me away. I was reminded of Velazquez as well...

freakin NICE. I like this quite a bit. I'm really into traditional stuff too, so, I can really appreciate this...

how big are the canvases and papers? I'm about to get into oils for my Self Portraits of the Day, they'll just be little oil sketches though. But I'd like to try out a bigger and more detailed one like these after awhile...
