Did this two days ago. Didn't think I could draw anything seeing that I had a mess of things to go through and stress about. It was a pleasant respite from the maelstrom. Sigh. Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I've just recently been doing some production design as a break from my story duties. For variety, really.

And other avenues of expression are being left unattended so this was very welcome if only transitory. I'll be back in story by next year.

This board has an amazing array of talent and very active it seems.

Chukw--Thanks. How's L.A.? I used to be there until three years ago and I moved up to the bay area.

Tegehel--I hope to post more. I'm a bit swamped but need to sneak a drawing for meself every now and then.

El Coro--Thanks for visiting the website. The galleries need updatiing. I need to revamp the entire site, actually. I hope to generate a different stack of art from what's there right now.

Morpheus03--Thanks for the email. Glad you can find inspiration from the work. I am like everyone--always in search of work that make me want to draw. I'll answer the email from home.

Thanks, guys. I feel very welcome. I hope to post more exploratory work to share. Rough pastels and such as well as figure and design work.

Jeano--Thanks, and glad to be here. Animation work had convinced me to move to more expressive drawing of the figure, character really. Character and story. My drawings used to be so stiff.

Jlo--copyrights, yes. Although it has as much power as a talisman would in warding off art thieves it does give you one line they have to morally cross. I say, we all incorporate it into our images when we can as a lark.

Chad--You bought our books! Awesome! Did we speak? I had my books at Stuart Ng's as well at the same time. He's a gentleman and a scholar--both brothers are.

Yeah we spoke briefly, You guys were swamped I would have loved to talk to you and Enrico longer but thats ok. I usually stop by stuarts booth but I didnt get to it this year, I did buy a lot of other folks books as well....

I really appreciate the overall look of you and enrico's book it definately stood out amongst all the others it looks like a lot of care was put into it, it makes me want to make one like it, maybe you could tell me where you had it printed as well. Your book has inspired me to try some different things, It also has caused me to be on the look out for those rare colored post it notes you were drawing on.

congrats on your acting debut on the Finding Nemo DVD!:D

Welcome aboard! I saw your site--great work, great style! There's a very early-60's feel to many of the pieces.

Chad--we'll be at Ape next year here in SF. San Diego was a blast and a lot of work. I have zero stamina but I couldn't take a break for longer than ten or fifteen minutes at time for all those days, including Wednesday Preview night. Let me know when you're about to get your work printed, I'll share what little we've gone through. We're learning it as we go and likely there were some mistakes.

Post-its, yeah!

Me on a DVD. I cringe. I lost fifteen pounds since. Why couldn't they have filmed me a few months after?

bgermain--thanks for the welcome. You know, I just mentioned that impression on another board and didn't really think that was apparent. I love the sixties ads and grahics. Tadahiro Uesugi is a Japanese master artist who draws with that era at dead center. His website is amazing. He credits his style being influenced by M. Sasek. Man, I love his books so much. He did a whole slew of cities and they're all tremendous. Pick up the re-edition of "This is San Francisco" and you'll see how this family tree of influences tracks.
