Hey Guys,

Baby Boy #2 will be here soon (just 3 weeks),
and my wife and I STILL can't decide on a name.
Figured I would toss the query out there to the most creative folk I know.

The facts:

My name is Daniel Dos Santos (Dos AND Santos are both part of my last name, it's 2 words).
My first son's name is Uno Dos Santos.

Before anyone states the obvious, no, we will not be naming the second child "Dos Dos Santos".

Suggestions?
We are getting desperate!

First of all, congrats, mate.

How about: Loren ;)
heheh.

Seriously, though. If you're nto going for some whacked spacey Hollywood name, I think Samuel Dos Santos has a nice ring to it.
Always been a fan of Milo, as well!

no Dos dos santos? hhaha...what about thresa? i always figured if i got stumped i could just go to the old paint pile and pick something out of there. cinnabar, sienna, violet, transparent red oxide lake, or maybe a digital crossover, like "color dodge" or "flip horizontal"...okay, if its a girl you probably dont want to name her flip horizontal, but i mean come on, "liquify" is a beautiful name for a girl. im not helping so illl just shut up. congrats on # 2 dude.

edit: so i just re read and realized its a boy. liquify is a GREAT name foir a boy. so is lens flare AND layer mask.

Maybe you could make some money on this deal. You know how some companies pay people if they tattoo the company logo on them? How about if you sell the kid's name to some giant corporation for life time advertising or something. You know like, Pepsi Dos Santos, Nabisco Dos Santos, or Apple....yeah that's it Apple Dos Santos.

OK that was stupid. Sorry.

Milo is cool, because of this book (http://www.amazon.com/Phantom-Tollbooth-Norton-Juster/dp/0394815009), and it keeps with the two syllables, "o" ending theme. Of course, keep that up and you're into Marx Brothers territory (Zeppo Dos Santos?)

I've always liked Parrish, but it's kind of WASPy.

Damn, boy's names are tough! You lucked out with the first one.

Alistair Dos Santos has a nice ring to it. I've always like Dominic too.

Dominic Dos Santos, or even Dom Dos Santos.

This may seem cheesy but I like my name too haha. But Trevor Dos Santos doesn't quite have that oomph.

Well, Kim is a good name, or André... :p Both are even better...

I also liked the idea of Layer Mask Dos Santos that someone suggested, would make a good superhero-name, his power is to hide parts of the world from his enemies, so they walk into lightposts and fall into manholes etc. :)

Hmm, on a (slightly) more serious side I do have one piece of advice.

Don't name him anything that could be confused for you or your other son's name. I had to grow up with that nightmare.

My name is Jake... My Father's name is Jack... and my brother's name is Zack.

Combine that with a mother who has only been speaking English about as long as my older brother has been alive and you essentially only have one name.

Koreans have a hard time with 'z' sounds, apparently. (they sound like a 'j' sound)

Anyway, save yourself the trouble.

Hey DS! First of all congrats on the kid :)
I wouldn't normally reply to this BUT I found an awesome site when I was googling men names for my characters, here it is - NAMES (http://www.resourcesforlife.com/library/names/masculine.htm) :)

You have some great names there complete with meanings which is great IMO :)

e.g. Ben - Hebrew meaning son or Gaelic meaning peak (Also a short form of Benedict and Benjamin) and Ben Dos Santos has a nice ring to it :)

Anyways, I hope this was at least a bit helpful and good luck with choosing a name :)

Diego - I like it.

I don't usually go for the generic, but Jimmy 'Two Saints' is like the perfect gangster name in translation. :)

I guess Tommy 'Two Saints' would work pretty good too if you wanted to go that route (Thomas). But Diego gets you the Velasquez shout and keeps with the D-O thing, whereas Thomas would only give you the O, so right now I think its probably the stronger of the two. Or maybe Johnny 'Two Saints' (Juan)? Too close to "One" probably.

Anyway, the point is that you have a pretty badass last name to work with, so you can't go wrong really.
Best of luck man.
