Dude, That is Awsome, I've been wanting to draw something like that for awhile now, but I haven't gotten around to it. I've been working on a dragon for a tattoo for my brother... Trippy. I don't know if I'm making any sense? I'm skitzophanic, and I forgot to take my meds...:D

i think the idea is good, but the pose isnt descriptive enough.. it took me a minute to find the face and then a little longer to understand the shape. Over all its cool, but i think it could be better with some changes.

this is a nice start, but it won't translate to skin well. there are too many small lines too close together to be tattooed. all of the lines on the the scythe staff and in the cloak will disappear after five years on skin and become muddy. I suggest simplifying your design a bit to remove most of the small details. nice start. you might consider taking it to a tattooer and get some more advice about designing it for skin.

i agree with clocktower, some of the lines being so close together, over time, will bleed into eachother and not look at sharp as originally intended and the piece will lose flavor.
also, i got confused which one was the head... i honestly thought i was the arm-pit too.
it's tough to find the right tattoo... have him sit on it for a while, during which time, looking for a more dynamic pose, he will thank you for letting him wait to get it and find something more tasteful and less flat.
sorry to be such a stick in the mud, but i'd rather let someone make a choice for a permanent piece of art after having throught o fit for quite some time, rather than to make an impulse mistake, as I have in the past... too many times to feel good about.
Any way.. good luck!
