i love the spartan and the more modern startan like warrior...that could be a really cool image with the spartan facing the moden brute...it would be like the modern guy looking into the past.....
and if ur not gonna use that idea i just might....

Your heads look really wide in the life drawings, try to measure proportions with your pencil. that orc is looking good, maybe with some thicker legs. keep going

hiay!
..hmm, I think you are focusing too much on the faces in your drawings.
I don't know what you are drawing from, a real life model? a photo? memory?
Try taking a photograph of a head and turn it upside down! Then paint it. Do things like this. I think you're mind is working against your hands. (Ok, sounds strange, i know..) You must let go of your fix ideas of how things look, and instead really look and draw what you see! The best way to train this is to draw abstract forms, like upside down motives, strange patterns etc, try drawing with your left hand (if you're right-handed) - it feels really awkward but just let it be awkward! try holding your pen in ways you're not used to when painting - hold it like a cigarette etc. this way you prevent your muscle-memory from doing what you've always have done and let the eyes focus for real... bla bla.. my point is: let go! let your eyes really guide your hands and not you're mind..
keep it up! :)
(ah, yes, i forgot: I know this because I have the same problem :)
ciao!
