Hi all,
It's been a long time since I was last on conceptart.org. Since then I've moved into the world of CG 3D. I hope to post images from a number of projects of varying nature that in the near future. To start with, here are a selection of images of a new car I have created - a spiritual successor to the classic 1960's AC/Shelby Cobra, named the 'Venom V8'.
Modelling has been done in Cinema 4D, and the following images are rendered in 3D environments (studio and desert/road scenes). The design has so far featured online globally, and in a number of UK magazines (Top Gear, Auto Express, etc) and quite a few international publications.
A full gallery of images, a very short teaser animation, and some of the magazine articles are viewable on the official website: www.cobravenom.co.uk . As mentioned, hopefully I can soon show some sci-fi 3D work on here as well, once they are done!
Let me know what you think. Thanks
Jme

I dig the design very much!
The car on snow scene could bear more attention-snow flung by tires doesn't look like mist, and it'd be all up in the tread pattern and stuck to the underside of the body - but also in that case the background photo seems grainy-er than the car render.

One question.....When will it be in production!!!!! that is one sick looking car. It is a very nice tribute to the Cobra.

That is such a beautiful car; I can just hear the engine roar.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
Regarding production, obviously that's a pipe dream, but I have some cogs in motion to see what can be done in regards to seeing if someone is interested in developing a prototype. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)
Kinjura - you can hear the engine roar (briefly) if you watch the intro video at the Venom's website: www.cobravenom.co.uk . I'm currently working on a slightly more elaborate teaser vdeo for the car, and will definitely post it on here once it's done, for peoples feedback. Hopefully that will give a better taste of the car in motion.
Kiolia - I found it difficult to find good reference material of snow being kicked up by car tyres, so the snow image may have suffered a bit because of this. I guess the powderyness (if there's such a word!) of the snow is dictated by the density of it (some snow is quite solid, some is quite powdery). Well, at least that's what I'll keep telling myself :)
Thanks again.

Cool design! I like the feel of the shelby cobra you have! There are some things that bother me though. I feel like the headlights dont match the body very well and the tail lights could have been exagerated more, maybe with some changes in thickness. The vent on the fender also bothers me, it feels like a tacked on after thought. I do like how the body forms to the third brake light and how it gives a cooresponding surface change to the decklid. I also think that since its a sports car that some renderings taken from the perspective of a lower eye level would help make the car look cooler. Right now it looks kind of chunky and undynamic with the high eye level. Its really cool to see the amount of exposure you've gotten with the design, I've seen the car on a few other sites. Take my crit for what it is, an opinion in a sea of opinions.

nice work on that shiny ass right there.
Mainly like the round shapes on it and i guess what Baze is saying are just some small details, keep up the cool work.
