I'm currently trying to put together a large, wearable replica of the Helm of Pure Dreams from the sandman series, so it's primarily going to be done in foam to keep it light.

Unfortunately, that is also exceedingly prone to being damaged so I'm trying to find a two part resin that I can coat the finished foam sculpt in to give it a hardouter shell (like a bicycle helmet), but I'm at a loss for what to get and where to get it from.

Any suggestions?

Not sure where you're based, but ebay in the UK has polyurethane resin listed. I use it for making castings. two part by weight 1 to 1 ratio so really easy to use. sets a white plastic. not sure if you'd have to seal the foam first or if the resin would seal it for you and bond to the foam.
