Well I am not sure if this is the right area but I believe this should be here

I am currently at an art school and will not be able to do internships for a couple of years but I thought I would try and get some information on this now. I would like to get into the comic book industry after graduating and was wondering what people's thoughts were on doing an internship with Marvel. The internships do not seem to be geared for art except for scanning and basic photoshop corrections but I think it might be a good way to get some contacts to later on use to break into the comic book world. So I was hoping to hear what people thought about the Marvel internships and if anyone has done an internship and what they thought of it. Thank you for your time.

If you are really good I imagine being a familiar face will certainly help get your work seen. If you aren't really good I can't imagine it will help at all.

Well ANY level of networking is usually a great thing to have and keep up on. Knowing the right people at the right times has gotten many a famous artist a job, career, or lifestyle. It all depends on what you want to do with your career, then network with the people who do exactly that. Good luck with everything!
