I'm leaning toward foundation painting, perspective and storyboarding.
Just learning, beginning artist, but I do some filmic type stuff, and would love more chops there (my storyboards are...awful.)
I'll probably get them all eventually, but what would be a good first one?

I would say Carl's or James Kai's downloads.

I would say Coro's storyboards, and Dobsky's perspective. Since you are leaning towards the "filmic type of stuff"

Thanks guys!
I've a couple of other things to blow funds on- then i'm headed for storyboards and perspective! (at least first)
Thanks Kelly! I'm not taking pics and uploading as I should be, but I am practicin', honest.
I'll put up some of my horrid storyboards to keep track of progress soon.

If you want to do matte paintings, did anyone mention Whit's industrial landscape and outdoor landscape? The dudes a phenom!

Oooo - what is this magical Whit thing you speak of? I refuse to post my aborted attempts at matte painting, which currently look as though a small child ran crazy through a photo gallery with a box of Crayolas.

Landscape painting with Whit Brachna.
It's one of the downloads (or two actually) which deals with how to paint landscapes, in this vid more precisely a snowy landscape.
It's a very good download. I have had usage of it alot when I paint landscapes in general.

All are equally important painting, perspective and storyboarding and I would suggest you to storyboard first.

JChan 4 president. :p
As long as you keep drawing / painting, doesn´t matter the order.
