@Alm0st: I'm in a design studio sponsored by HP for school right now so there's going to be a lot of computers in my sketches for a while. I do build my own rigs when time/money allows though.
@Reject-D: thanks man
@kuroart: thanks! the blog might be a bit dry with a lot of school stuff for many people's tastes though
rocking out to the new mogwai album and sketching a lot of computers...

Adore the way you shade with graphite- so bold and solid; wish I could do that.
:b Keep up the great work!

Some nice sketches, I actually wish there was more ink work though - your lines seem much more confident and less redundent (less excessive scribbles) when using the inks.
Great hands studies, but I'll say that because it's a weak area for me.

Wow, your moleskin stuff is awesome! I remember your stuff from way back in the day, but now it's just crazy. Keep up what you're doing because you've definitely gotten better since the last time I checked! If it helps any, I'd suggest showing more variety in the faces/heads/expressions. Keep posting!

@SEVANS: yeah inks put me in more of a "if you fuck up oh well you can't fix it" mindset and i just go at it, thanks for stopping by

@oalexis: thanks, its nice to have the internet again
@Jamesy: thanks man, i do need to work on expression, its a big weak point for me right now.

Awesome sketches. :D
On your most recent update, there are a lot of abstract yin-yang/blob-like forms...what are they and what is the point of drawing them?

man, I haven't been on for a bit, let alone to stop by to see glory (you). I'm glad I took some time off to stop by. The only "crit" I could some what say is that your chow, Stilgar, doesn't seem to have enough "pop". (but I'm sure it just incomplete).

Man, you have been sketching like gangbusters, the page just keeps loading! This is like half a Moleskine's worth of sketches right? ha tight stuff though. The expression-y forms have a really nice flow to them and indeed feel looser and softer than the previous work. The computers higher up feel spontaneous and have a lot of nice nuances. I like the idea of a big tower on little robotic feet. How's the studio going anyways? Tony says we'll have a sponsored studio our next quarter of classes as well.
I like the ChoW entry but at the bottom he seems to flatten out... like the darkness just loses the form. The eyes and the hood are very convincing though!
Hope all is going well for your studio! We have 120 faceplate thumbnails due Monday for Tony. People are freaking out, but its not that many, especially since its just fronts of VCRs and CD players. Anyways, I updated my Sb with all the stuff from Dohler's (lame) purchase display project and I'll add Tony's stuff when its done. Peace man. Glad to see you're back.

Hey man, how have you been?
I am not too busy sketching either - my design stuff takes too much time. But I guess you can still do it ;)
A load of nice stuff in here - this one http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=477856&stc=1&d=1222724490
is really cool, looks scary somehow.
cheers!

Wombat! I can't believe it has been so long since I have been on the forums! So many new faces! Glad to see you are still posting. How have you been man? I read earlier that you are working on an HP sponsored project. Are you still in school, or are you actually working in the scary real world?
I've been having an artistic identity crisis of sorts the last year or so. Nothing serious, but I have explored many other paths, including but not limited to attempting to join the military (failure, funky kidneys kept me from getting in), and now I have finally spiraled back around to realizing that art is in my blood, I will never be happy doing anything else.
So I'm back. I'm going for an art career, and I'm shooting for the stars. I'm going to spend the next year getting as good as I can, then I'm going to apply for Conceptart.org Atelier. The forums are going to be my best friend for a while. I hope to see you around.
