Storyboard/Concept Artist Job #32-01
Summary:
Creates Storyboards and Concept Art for films and commercials that describe action/animation and that communicate ideas, moods, and feelings.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates layouts which visually describe, frame by frame, the action and animation. Also, makes drawings and paintings which determine setting and mood through color, lighting and detail.
Makes presentations to clients as required.
Researches and assembles reference materials.
Archives all work.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in a related field preferred.
Exceptional traditional drawing skills. Training in and/or a demonstrable understanding of the basic principles of art including perspective, lighting, balance, and color relationships.
A working knowledge of artwork presentation preparation.
Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Some knowledge of Macintosh computers and Photoshop a plus.
