I'm a student at the Art Institute of ***, and I've been trying for the last 3 semesters to get the folks with talking sticks to take a look at these DVD's.
We've got DVD's from everyone and their dog, plus a load of culinary arts-related DVD's. I know the school's got the budget, but I just need to get higher-ups enthusiastic about these tutorial dvd's.
My question: Does a school need to get a license to have these DVD's in their library? There was a lot of red tape to get through to get ahold of the DVD's a while back, something about the school needed to get a license to distribute, or a license to drive class 3 vehicles or something.
Who do i talk to here?
Is it legal for me to make a copy for an instructor at my school, so he can watch it and evaluate it? I can't use my enthusiasm alone. I need to show something tangible.
I'm willing, totally willing, to buy another copy of the DVD's i've got, it's just that I'm rather poor, with mouths to feed, so to speak.
