I did it once...it was AWESOME till the next day when I wanted to sleep. I'll have to do it again when I'm in my own place, because any sudden noise that one time totally drove me MAD!!!

Anyway, I can't do it again YET, but I will!! I loved it! :D

Wow. That sounds intense.

Really kinda tempting to try it out. Maybe I can find a couple other people around here that would do it as well. Nothing like camaraderie to keep things rolling.

I'm curious if there wasn't some way we could support the idea here by staging a 24-hour on-line version to allow the people who can't get out to the stores to get involves. It would, of necessity, involve a lot of trust as far as the deadline start and finish were concerned.

I am flip flopping about it, but the leaning is more towards doing it than not. Not sure if I'd ask the store I go to to host it or not. I may do it at home. We'll see.

If anyone wants to try it, but doesn't have a host store nearby, I'll be happy to unofficially host you entries here in the POW! Challenge area. Just give me a head's up that you're gonna try it.

Ah, thanks for the reminder zwarrior! The seqa dept at my old school usually hosts an event and I have been wanting to try a full-fledged 24-hr comic. Some friends and I attempted a 12-hr and that was tough (and then I had to leave for work...boo)!

I think my favourite thing about the experience was reading about how people managed to stay up for the whole 24-hours. Many took breaks. I took a nap, myself. So really I did it in 22-23 hours. ;_;

i read some of the ones that were published in several compilation books, a lot were really, really good. some a lot better than the comics that took extensive time to read through.

though i am rather bad at making comics, i've always wanted to try to do one of these personally to try it out and see the outcome.

i think it would be aweseome for conceptart to host something like this, it would be interesting to see what people here would make.

Eh, even if you suck it's a win. The more you draw, the better you get. The idea with the 24-hr stuff is you don't have time to get distracted in over-planning, being perfect, putting off a tough angle, editing....you just plow through. :)

And then there's getting to see what happens to your story when the deliriousness kicks in...heehee.

Sounds interesting. I'll be very intrigued in doing the 24-hours online deal, so long as it doesn't fall on a weekday due to work. I suck at paneling overall, but hey, like said before, practice makes perfect.

I might give it a try, but I'll be in New Zealand, so we'll have to see.
