Doo dee doooo....my first creation with my Wacom tablet and painter. Odd thing is, when I brought the image up in photoshop, it was darker, higher contrast and not as clean as what appeared in painter. I ended up having to add an adjustment layer.
Anyways, here's my contribution....

well, 18 for 18. I almost gave up on this one about 10 mins in, but instead I persevered (is that spelled right?) and ended up overcoming lots of personal obstacles, and discovered a few new things that I will think about on the next ones. So what started out as what I thought would be a really frustrating one, ended up being well worth it!
Happy Verterans Day / Rememberance day (Canada) everyone. Take a minute to think about what those have done before us.

I ended up with a rather plain design, but it was the only thing that came to mind. nexykun, you made a unique one there though; kind of a leech/mosquitoe. Very cool.

Took 30 minutes and just used what stuff I had around my computer. I used white out on the coat, I kinda like the texture it left. Dollar store markers and sharpies for coloring and was drawing left handed still due to this darn carpal tunnel.

B-Movie style. It's all done in Paint Shop Pro, really fast and messy... not sure I like it, but here it is.

moops - nice one today!
Tried some different techniques tonight... also worked in paint shop pro (usually photoshop for me).. word to the wise: don't try too many new techniques at once, otherwise you get this. Kept trying to work on it, but was taking way more time than it needed. oh well, at least I'm tryin new things, huh? :bash:

This one took 1 hour... 40 minutes too long for my taste. Gotta fortify the pre-visualisation glands and strengthen the execution muscles...

The Lawyer and his Pet
I've been gone for a while working on my website but I wanted to put something up. I had already done the lawyer for a character sketch a while ago, so I just added the leech and cheesy background. They make a good couple.
Oh! I was also going to say that there was a giant leech villian in the TMNT comic book series, in collection six of the original Eastman and Laird series.

shucks, a bit late.
Giant leeches for giant bovines. (not very clear on the leech, gotta think harder next time...but I always say that...) Vyle's stroke shapes reminded me that ps has a pen angle feature, I'm digging it, it's reminiscient of oil painting. :)
Welcome to dsg terp!
oneamuck- Ah man, that hits a soft spot...one time I had to take care of a guy like that for two months, almost killed us both, hahaha! :D

I didn't really push myself for this assignment, other than work on the one thing I've really been needing but never knew it until just tonight: confidence in my lines. Usually I'm pretty uncertain about my lines, but tonight I decided I was going to start drawing with as few lines as possible. So what you see, while it doesn't look very finished at all, is a very small sketch-painting consisting of much fewer lines than I would normally use, and thus this only took a couple of minutes.
So here you go:
http://www.darkensai.com/art/leech1a.jpg
I wanted to keep with the cowboy/leech idea, but I'm not feeling very well right now (it hurts to swallow) plus I wanna keep working on this quick-line thing. Hopefully it'll be worth it =P
