hello everyone i plan on making a large 1:5 or 1:7 scale fantasy t rex sculpture my medium will be super sculpey but seeing what a large sculpt it will be i don't want to waist the super sculpey all on bulk up does anyone have any ideas to give the t rex "muscles" for no more than around 25 bucks?

On my triceratops sculpture, I used aluminum foil covered with cheap regular sculpey. I baked it first before I really started working on it and it gave me a nice, sturdy foundation to work on. I've also used plaster, paper mache, flour-salt dough, and glue dough before to give my sculptures the bulk. Salt dough is easily made from 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, and water...dries rock hard. It's cheap but long wait for it to dry out completely. I'm a cheapskate so that's why I try different materials.

Ok. Try dipping strips of cloth or paper into plaster to give it strength. Good luck and let me know how it goes!
