Ganglands: Slaves to the bullets

Still experimenting, but then it’s “back to the roots” for me at the same time.
This illustration is not part of any particular project and is inspired by the neon lights of the cities I have never visited and yet I travel there every so often in my mind.

i think this image is pretty cool

i like the flatness of the hair with the dimension in teh body

i dont think the bg is working 100%..the color and design are working but teh figures are floating


you seem to do alot of pieces with close up cropped figures, or even full bodied...but sometimes they feel sorta compacted and cluttered without any room around them to breathe...not so much with this piece but...and i dont think iv ever seen you do a bg with any siogns of dimension/perspective/space

i like their tattoos...wish that was a stronger element in teh design of this piece

the way you hadnled teh muscles and lighting on their torsos is fantastic

very classy stuff.
it hink the second one kinda lcacks in the composition. too much attention is drawn to the background. unless thats what you wanted to achieve. but it sorta "dishonors" the great foreground drawing. maybe some milder colors would work? or even a blurryness. anyways great work on both pieces.
