Nicely done, really like the Metropolis skyline on the base. THe likeness is right on. The pose is a bit...weird though. Would have liked to see the arms extended as if he was flying forward...Great job though!

Is this pose based on the crowbared-in comparison between Jesus and Superman the last movie desperately tried to make? A beautiful sculpt, but I have to agree that the pose is very un-Superman-like.

Dude this sculpt rocks. Dead on Christopher Reeves. The pose is a litte un-superman but it doesn't kill the piece.

The pieces is beautifully rendered and the finish work, excellent. The pose confused me a little. In going back and looking at it a few times, I still can't settle in my own mind whether its that he's on tip toe or the attitude of his wrists/hands.

With as much work as you cleary invested in this sculpture, it must be a design you have thought through and felt commited to actuate. I know what its like, many times, to have worked hard on something you believe in and to not have it read as clearly as it is in your own mind.

So, I offer a couple of observations with a certain understanding.

I wonder if it miught have worked a little better if only one toe were on the ground and the other slightly off the base and a little behind the support foot.

Or, maybe the cape could have rolled back a little and to the side in the breeze so both feet could be off the could as if he were floating.

If the feet were elevated , maybe the gesture of effortless floating would come through more through the hands.

Maybe, one hand could be palm up top indicate a impending upawrad direction.

I say again, a beautiful job. I'm trying to undersatnd the pose.

It's both, but the limp wrists are the more problematic. A little more tension in the arms would make him more "super." Of course, one of the things I never liked about the Reeves Superman movies was how he would just float into the air to start flying instead of springing/leaping, so I suppose this is appropriate.

I think I figured it out...he must be about to do a swan dive off the perch that he's on...I have to re-iterate though the sculpt is really nice. I think that it really could have "soared" (pun intended) with another pose. So woth that said show us some more work please!

Ah, now I see. Maybe if you include a profile view of your sculpture, it'd be more clear he's enjoying a relaxing float in the air. Looking at the sculpt from a strictly front and back view, it makes it look like he's just ridgidly standing on the base. Once again, a beautiful masterful sculpture! Will you be casting this to sell?
