Hi,
I work primarily on a laptop. Every time I finish a piece and I look at it on my laptop it looks exactly how I want it but when I look at it on another computer screen it looks TOTALLY different, it's usually much darker, has higher contrast, and is more vibrant (which isn't a good thing). How can I fix this? I don't have the money to shell out and buy an external monitor.
Thanks,
Jake

I'm not sure if you can. Laptop screens are generally inferior in things like contrast and color accuracy. Even my MacBook Pro is pretty shitty in that regard (despite the price tag of some 3500+ bucks).

Sounds like it might be a calibration issue. Google monitor calibration for more info.

I have the same problem, as I also work on a laptop; I suggest you to push the screen a little bit, so that the image will look darker and closer to what others see on the monitor.

I recognize your frustration.

There are several color accuracy tools available. Usually these solutions include a colorimeter which enables you to measure the color characteristics of your screen.

However, I'm afraid you will soon end up spending more money than if you would buy a new high quality screen.

kind regards
Frans.
