Deliciously twisted. Simon your vision is amazing, disturbing, and wickedly fun. I enjoy trying to pick out the details on your pieces. They are so ripe with distorted human emotion. Can't wait to see more!

I am always excited for a new spiderzero sculpt, so I was hasppy to notice your name in the thread.
Great piece once again, it blows my mind though in the sense that i have no idea how you hold it when you sculpt, or how you even put it down. Since you made the underside of the sculpt be a part of it as well with the distorted heads and such, how do you set the sculpt down? on the bottom of it there are faces, on the top there are faces, so that means it is pretty much a 100% sculpting surface.
I am sure the answer will be plain simple, maybe you sculpted the bottom first and baked it, so you can set the sculpt down on the table while u sculpt the rest of it?

holy crap man. astounding as usual. I have to know... how many hours do you have in that piece? I'm not pushing near the detail and i puts hours upon hours in my little dinky pieces. just amazing man. sick, but amazing. :)

hey thanks guys!
Pavel, I sculpted the top first, baked it, then added the heads to the bottom.
Siamese, this piece was actually fairly quick, about 6 hours combined? the design part is usually the most time consuming. I didnt have a concept sketch for this to begin with, but once I have that, the execution was fairly quick.

This is crazzzzy... so much texture!
How do you make it when every side is so full of detail? Does the clay harden so that you can rest it on one side that won't damage to texture?
