First post, two drawings

Hey guys,

This is my first post here, and have two drawings to show. I'm 24, going to a JC (long story) and trying to build up a portfolio to apply to Art Center. Any constructive criticism would be more than welcome, as I'll need all the help I can get :)

Both were done with charcoal on newsprint. Thanks for looking!

15 and 20 minute drawings? Jeebus that's God-like. Great attention to detail in such a short period of time.

are you serious? did you draw that and shade in 15 and 20 minutes. Wow, no offense but I have a hard time believing that. If it is true that you finished these in such a short time, great for you :)

I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about the shading of the clothing on both pieces that is bothering me. Other than that, good job :)

Wow! 20 mins! That´s for the pose or for the shading too?
The less time i´ve spent on a charcoal drawing from life was a lite cast, I spent 2hours on it and it was crap.

15 and 20 minutes for the poses, the shading took quite a bit longer :)
