These are a couple of paintings that I recently added to my site. One is Batman, obviously, and the other is sort of a reworking of an older piece.

interesting stuff. The only thing i'd say is that on that batman, the head feels really small compared to his arm and that hand. But both are nicely painted

sweet batman image, great rendering and lighting.
the second has some strange lighting that distracted me from the characters, which may be a good thing - it made me look around the image. i saw a thing casting a shadow on both her and the montain in the background, but know it woulnd twork that way, so had to ignore it or create an idea of two different things in the sky, clouds for the mountains, rock spaceship for the chick. i like it's concept, maybe, for the chick on her knees, you should leave an opening on the neck pieces so the chick with the knive could cut her neck .. but i relized she could stab he in the head or something, its just the way she is holding that knife - and the look of the knife, it feels like a throat cutting knife. although the direction the blade is facing, she would ahve to stab with it ..

Hello Francis,
Your Batman image is spectacular! I am not even a fan of Batman but I love the way it is so wonderfully rendered. I think it is one of the most appealing images of Batman I have ever seen.
I also thought your tutorials on your website were great - especially the one with "Red General." Very interesting the way you work. Thank you for creating those tutorials - they are very helpful!
For your second image, it is good too. But the lighting is confusing. Are there two light sources? If there is only one, maybe the horned lady's left arm should have more lighting on it - If it did - It might connect the characters better. Right now they are separated which might be what you are going for - I'm not sure. In your Batman piece my eye is drawn to the head next the shoulder and then the hand. In your second image, my eye is focused on the heads and breasts of the women which aren't really telling the story or aren't as appealing to me as much as the Batman. I didn't even notice the knife till I read a comment above.
Great work!
Thanks for sharing!

YAY! Great stuff!
Very moody, very dark. I am liking very much.
Batman is such a hard character to do because it has been done so much, but you have presented a very original vision. Good job!
