Andrew,
You are reputed to be the only Computer Animator to come out of Ringling who knew his anatomy the way he was supposed to. Out of curiosity, may I ask how many years you spent there? Also, what classes did you take to learn this anatomy?
Sincerely,
Chris

thank you- there are other Ca graduates in the past that knew their anatomy,
but it is true that I have always had a great passion and respect for the intricate nature of the human body.
I attended Ringling for 4 years from 1996-2000
I took as much figure drawing as I could . I also took steadmans anatomy class, where we sculpted a figure from the bones to muscles out of clay.
my most profound anatomy education came from an experimental class Mr. Thiel started where a selected group of students would attend hands on dissection at the USF medicinal school for the duration of an entire semester, taking a body apart from start to finish really helped solidify all the pictures and books I had read.
Anatomy is something that I believe is up to the individual to learn on their own, and then practice within the academic structure of homework and assignments. there are so many books and resources to help you, and beyond that everything you need to know about anatomy is within you, you carry it around every day of your life. there is no excuse for not mastering for anyone willing to take time and learn it.
