...don't look in the Photo Section very often, I'd thought I'd pass on something that fits right into the constant "I can't seem to get motivated" routine that seems to keep popping up here on a regular basis.
When you can come within 1% of what this guy did, you can possibly--POSSIBLY--consider yourself slightly motivated...

You know what this is more then amazing he is bigger then an inspiration. This guy is living his dream, pursuing what he loves with passion and sympathy, he has never gave UP through the good or bad. It shows you what you can do if you keep trudging on. This holds true as there are many artist on this board that have came from nothing and made something of there self's. (Mindcandyman-Lungbug) I could bet my ass he never once thrived for more inspiration more motivation He had every thing he could ever want. The world in his hands with the click of a finger. I could not even sum up how excited this guy must of been to get home to the dark room and watch his creations come alive. There is more motivation here then what meets the eye. For all of you who thrive on others for motivation I almost pity you. The only reason you lack motivation is because your lazy there is nothing more to it. In all reality there is so much motivation around. Waking up in the morning and seeing the sun coming up knowing that your able to take a hot shower have a wounder full meal, or going out side to soak up the morning sun even mistakes in your life you can turn into motivation. There is MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION all around you, you just need to take that blind-fold off and start looking at the world in a different view. Represent why you are human being. You have the ability to create your own thoughts make your own judgments you only need your self to motivate you. You are your own person you set your own path.

That is really inspiring. Definitely now one of my favorite artists. Not just that he continued to pursue his passion, but has beautiful, well captured photographs.
Kudos for posting that Ilaekae. :)
Cheers,

That fellow sure puts the motivation issue into perspective.
He also shows us that the secret to good art doesn't lie in fancy, expensive equipment.
I doesn't look like he put much money into paying professional models either.
I wonder how many times he was arrested during his photography career.

Story as any other on wrong side of Iron Curtain, particulary this time, when lack of anything, any resources, including food and basic goods pushed people for "invetions". What about camera in shoebox, have you seen this? Or camera made out of flat paper plan, cut with scissors and glued. What about car fueled by vegetable oils, 30 years ago or so? There is hips of similar strories, hips of people, well know, less know and not know at all, trying to live their dreams in those difficult times.
Its not only about "invensions". Even more about art in general. With strong cersorship this times, artist trying to pass freedom message to the rest of society, had to be cleaver enough to fool censors, but make a message work to others. Cinematography, literature, fine art, photography etc etc etc You have to live it to understand. Western people or even younger generation in post comunistic countries simply dont get any clue....
