Last year, when Transformers was released my son loved it so much I painted a portrait of him with movie Optimus Prime.

I'm also a guild member of the Star Wars Artists' Guild (http://swagonline.net/), where we illustrate characters, creatures and vehicles which are requested by players of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, a pen-and-paper RPG game at our forums.

I used to do pencils and ink with simple digital coloring. But these days I'm experimenting more with Painter to produce more painterly characters.

Here are two of my better attempts to paint requests. To view other artwork in my gallery, please click here (http://swagonline.net/user/260/gallery). Hope you enjoy them.

Here's an insectoid alien sniper (a Verpine) digging in his feet and lining up his rifle for a kill.

I like your ideas! It seems like you're still struggling to work on colors, I'd suggest really going crazy with some high contrast, bright and dark shades. Especially when you're working with glowing robots and things, it will really make them pop, like your first pic up there. =)

Keep it up!

It's been a while since I've been here.

Here are some new fantasy creature artwork I did for Wicked North Games (http://www.cinema6games.com/)' Azamar sourcebook, a fantasy setting sourcebook using their Cinema6 system. For any of you tabletop roleplayers out there, their beta rulebook pdf (http://products.cinema6games.com/) is free for download.

Enjoy the artwork:
