Hello everyone. I am new here and finally decided to show some of my artwork to the world. These are characters I am trying to develop for a video game(hopefully) or possibly a comic.

Nice style and design..
I especially like the way you deal with certain colors.
I really like the bat for the translucency .. and the top figure with green rimmed belly.. The color play works for me..
This would be kick ass in 3d..

never mind what is said after this point
games that tend to dwell on holloween are usually to dark and therefore a become depressing and a chore to play if i made a game with charactors like yours i would try to make the levels colorful

Great cartooning all-around. Have you ever considered illustrating children's books?

Very interesting style. Love the whole sense of paralell universe feel to it.
Some of the peg-legged characters bare a resemblance to a Sammy´s character that were done a while ago in a Media Colring Book. And I mean it in a good way. :)
Peace! :chug:

I like them all, which is rare in a large post. They all have a perfect blend of freakiness and humanity. as someone said earlier, a nightmarish quality. very nice.

Hey now, I didn't say what age the child. Stuff like this would be great for 10 year olds, I know that. (Or for the more freaky stuff, 12-13 or so.) Heck, I loved Tim Burton when I was that age.

Both really great games with some awesome creature design, although I don't think I'd really compare your cutesey gothic style to their psychological surrealist horror style.
Case in point, this page with stuff from Silent Hill 2: http://www.felixmcli.org/sh2-lostmem-cre.html
Also, this stuff from the more recent Silent Hill 3: http://www.felixmcli.org/sh3-lostmem-cre.html
The games play out like a combination between Jacob's ladder, Twin Peaks, and Hellraiser. (3's a little closer to Hellraiser than a David Lynch flick though.) And while the creature designs are excellent, I personally love the environments far more.

wow, those are awesome. i dont typically play games like that as i am partial to games that are lighthearted in nature a la Ratchet & Clank and Abe's Odyssey. I think I have finally come up with a storyline for this though and am working on environment sketches as we speak. Then I have to tackle Maya

But you do seem to have a thing for Donnie Darko, though. (Silent Hill 3 reminds me a little of DD, to that end.)
PS. For what I was talking about with environments, check this out: http://www.felixmcli.org/sh3-lostmem-pics.html
The game series has excellent real-world environments filled with decay and grime...but then when the world "shifts" to the "otherworld"...a world of nightmarish delusions brought to life (a convention of the Silent Hill series) everythng decays as though it were a thousand years old and is smeared with dried blood, used hospital equipment clutters the passageways, occult symbols appear on the walls, horribly mutilated human bodies rearranged into grotesque "artwork" appear, and random moments of pure surrealist insanity crop up. One of my personal favorite weird environments in SH3 is while walking down a corridor, there's a section of the wall that's a giant black glass cube, like an aquarium tank filled with ink. Shining your flashlight inside it, you can see things moving behind the "glass" but cannot properly make them out. There appears to be no reason for the giant cube to be there except to disturb the player...and there's all sorts of things like that in the Silent Hill series.

I think I will rent Donnie Darko tonight and see what everyone is talking about. I will also rent SH3 as I have never seen that either. Maybe they will help
foofoo: I am familiar with Lenore. I had an older project I did that ended up looking TOO much like a Lenore comic so I tossed that style and re-invented myself. I appreciate the compliment though: to even be compaared to the likes of Dirge and Vasquez is awesome.
