I'm not really used to painting in Photoshop without lineart, so I've been doing these for practice over the past couple days. It's a really fun way to learn.
Each sketch took about 20 minutes.

Any advice/feedback would be good. Thanks.

These are great.

I like how you captured different moods in each of them.

What if you tried rugged terrain? Cliffs, mountain sides, caves, ditches, canyons, that sort of thing.

Yeah! Brasshorsekiller comin' in full effect! Heavyweight hitter in tha' house! Really really nice moods. I like the exploration with the particles, great choices there. I also love the tilted camera angles. Good stuff! Peace

awesome stuff. i really like the mood and colors for each composition. nice directional elements with the lights and little floating thingies.

all of them are nice, but I especially like #8, great atmosphere for a forest fire

Ooohh nice. I bet these are really fun to do. They make very engaging pictures despite simple compositions - I think this simplicity is one of the hardest things to acheive in art. Well done! Inspires me to make some of my own!

nicely done i like how it goes from a rough real look to almost a cartoon look

these are done with no sketches? I hate you. I hate to say it but I have no crits dude, as studies/exersizes they're strong, clear and the palletes are all congealed. If I was smart I'd try some myself, but I'm dumb, and afraid of color haha.
I like the tilting of the cameras too...
Now that you've done this, take what you've learned and make some a bit bigger, but with one or two more colors added to each pallette to make them a bit harder to deal with.
Post more I hate you, err, uh - I mean, I love you. No, not you, your work. God nevermind.

nice dude

The atmospheric sense of them is convincing, nice play on the colors/moods. I'm glad you progressively got away from the little lights. :D

NICE, the little partical elements (leaves or what ever else is appropriate) give it alot of atmosphere. Im also really digin the bamboo. =) Nice One.

I like them, I really do. But the particle effects are a bit overdone. They fit in some but in others I think they´re a bit overdone. Use them, by all means, just no all the time.

hey - good stuff, cool to see you testing new work. Are you still drawing these with a mouse? if so - even more impressive...
